IET India Scholarship 2023 :- The largest scholarship initiative for undergraduate engineering students in India is the IET India Scholarship Award. The 7th edition of the award programme, created by the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) to recognise and foster India’s future engineering leaders, will motivate undergraduate engineering students by honouring their originality, innovation, leadership, and brilliance. First-year, second-year, third-year, and fourth-year engineering students from all specialties will compete for a cumulative scholarship reward totaling INR 10,00,000.
One of the biggest engineering professional societies in the world, the IET collaborates closely with business, academia, and the government to design a better society. Famous engineers who have received this honour include Shri Ratan Tata (Former Chairman, Tata Sons), N R Narayana Murthy (Chairman Emeritus, Infosys), and T V Ramachandran (President, Broadband India Forum and Ex-Resident Director, Vodafone).
IET India Scholarship 2023 Eligibility
- Open to students enrolled in a full-time, regular undergraduate engineering curriculum (in any discipline) that has been authorised by AICTE/UGC in their first, second, third, or fourth year.
- A single try at passing all normal credit courses is required of applicants.
- Candidates must have earned at least 60% overall or an equivalent CGPA of at least 6 on a scale of 1 to 10 in the previous semesters.
- The applicants’ ages are not restricted.
Note: All IET members and non-members are eligible to apply, as are all engineering branches accepted by the AICTE/UGC. Also eligible to apply are lateral entry students who enrol in the second year of the B.Tech curriculum.

- Prize: INR 3,000, including a certificate and IET membership

IET India Scholarship 2023 Initial Stage: Online Application
On the basis of their online applications, candidates will first be shortlisted. Following are the weights assigned to each section of the online application:
- Education: 60%
- 20% for Extra and Co-Curricular
- 10% outreach Other than institutional activities, such as planning industrial trips, setting up lectures and seminars, etc.
- Professional – 10% (Membership in professional bodies, organising professional body events, office holders in any professional body or student chapter, supporting professional bodies with papers and presentations, etc.)
IET India Scholarship 2023 Second stage: online test
All-India online testing will be required for Stage 1 shortlisted candidates. This online test is used to gauge the understanding of the applicant who made the short list in engineering-related fields like physics, chemistry, mathematics, mechanical, electrical, electronics, and computer science. A total of 50 multiple-choice questions will be included. In each Region (North, South 1 and South 2, East & Northeast, and West), the top 30 applications will advance to Stage 3.
IET India Scholarship 2023 Stage 3: Evaluation at the regional level
Additionally, candidates who meet the criteria for the regional round will be required to offer their ideas for a problem in society that affects the area. The participants will be informed of the topic at least 10 days beforehand, giving them time to prepare. This level of evaluation will be done in person in 5 centres across 5 regions.

IET India Scholarship 2023 The National Finals at Stage 4
Probably in August 2023, the national finals of the IET India Scholarship Awards will take place. The five Regional Round winners will showcase their technology solutions and how they intend to use them to address the engineering challenge that was selected in the previous Round. They will get the chance to collaborate with mentors to enhance their solutions and presentation.

These National Finalists will be evaluated based on the presentations they made to the national jury and how well they developed overall while taking part in each level of the Scholarship Awards. The performance and growth displayed by the applicants in each round of the Scholarship Awards will be evaluated. On the day of the National Finals, the judges will choose the topic for the Group Discussion that could be part of the competition.
Bangalore will host the National Finals. The shortlisted students will be informed in advance of the location and timings.
